Yes, any of our facials and back treatments can be made pregnancy safe.

We will do our best to accommodate allergies but sometimes we are unable to provide service because of allergen contraindications. For example, clean beauty products often use a preservative that is derived from corn. If you have a corn allergy our products options may be very limited.

Facials can be a polishing service to get the most of your med spa treatment with a final touch of glow and hydration.

How long you should wait between a med spa treatment and having a facial entirely depends on the procedure, how your skin responds, and your provider’s recommendation. Please follow their guidance when booking a facial post procedure.

This is one of the most important FAQs!

Yes, if your come to you facial before your injection appointment.

If you’ve recently had injections we recommend waiting 2 weeks for a facial since touch during this timeframe can move these substances within the skin and change their placement. No one wants a droopy eye or a bumpy cheek!

Monthly

If you’re working on a specific skin care goal we recommend coming in every month until you feel in control of your skin story.

quarterly

After that we recommend minimum quarterly facials to keep your glow on and exfoliate away last season. Syncing with the seasons and following the rhythms of the Earth can be a helpful reminder it’s time for your next facial.

As needed

And finally, book as needed if your facials are for spiritual or energetic resets.

Come often or make this your once a year treat ritual. It’s your path. We’ll be here to support you when you’re ready.

The best way for us to recommend which products will get your skin on a path toward your skin care goals is to work with your skin and see how it responds to professional products on the facial table. We offer the Little Treat: Product Consultation with Exfoliation + Hydrating Mask service if a full facial isn’t really your thing.

Gua sha has risen alongside the clean beauty movement as an alternative to injections and harsh chemical skin treatments. It has not always been popular in Western culture, especially during the ’90s med spa boom.

We love it! We highly recommend starting your own home practice and are happy to provide tips during your facial on how best to use your gua sha tool.

Both forms of exfoliation help soften fine lines, acne scarring, undesirable texture, pore size, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and promote luminosity with no down time. You may experience some sensitivty and blotchiness for a day or so if you have sensitive skin.

Microderm is best for mild acne, scarring, and textural issues. Dermaplaning is best for youth building and anti-aging. If your body hair is darker and thicker it’s possible your peach fuzz may be noticeable as it grows back.

Infrared light is invisible light that promotes collagen and elastin production, improved skin texture, and helps reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Red light is long wavelength and promotes new cellular production. Blue is short wavelength and sits on top of the skin killing bacteria with its antimicrobial properties.

faqs: Bikini, brazilian & intimate area waxing

This is the second most asked of our FAQs!

The range for hair length is at least 1/4″ (or the length of a grain of rice) all the way to full bush.

Any shorter than 1/4″ and the wax may not be able to adhere to the hair. If the hair is too short we’ll do our best but you may leave with some hair. We do not tweeze any areas of the body except brows.

Not sure if it your hair is long enough? Wait 2+ weeks since your last shave or 4 weeks since your last wax to come in.

Don’t shave within 2 weeks of your wax otherwise the hair may be too short for the wax to grab. If you shave within 2 weeks of your wax we’ll do our best but you may leave with some hair. We do not tweeze any areas of the body except brows.

Recommended waxing maintenance is every 3 to 6 weeks for best results. Most common is once a month. Frequent waxing means your hair is shorter and sparser. This schedule maintains the least amount of hair between waxes.

Another one of our biggest FAQs!

Regular waxing

Yes, regular waxing helps reduce the occurrence of ingrown hair. Shaving is often too exfoliating and removes the top layer of skin sending the skin into a healing mode to produce more skin. Therefore when the hair grows back it cannot emerge from the skin properly and becomes trapped under that thin layer, causing red bumps, irritation, and ingrowns. This especially happens if you’re pushing the razor into your skin to get a closer shave.

Home Care Products

Waxing is also exfoliating but not to the extent of shaving. You’ll want to use an in shower exfoliator twice a week to reduce natural build up over the course of 3 to 6 weeks between your wax appointments. We carry some favorite products that help treat and prevent ingrowns and the dark, discolored spots left after they heal.

Hard and soft waxes are available for bikinis and brazilians. Typically we will use a combination of a hard and soft waxes depending on hair coarseness, length, and density. We offer hard wax only upon request.

Switching from shaving to waxing can often reduce the occurrence and intensity of ingrowns. Plus we have favorite home care products for maintaining smooth, bump-free skin!

Yes, just wear a tampon or diva cup so your skin is dry and free of menstrual fluid. If your skin is damp or wet the wax will not be able to adhere to the hair.

It’s always a good idea to be hygienic when receiving personal services. We appreciate same day showering.

faqs: face & Body waxing

It depends on your hair density and coarseness. We use different waxes for different areas. Generally: Soft wax strips for face and body. Sometimes hard wax for underarms. Combination for intimate areas.

Facial waxing is an add-on only service. It can be added to any body, brazilian, or brow wax service, and added to most of our facial services.

Prolly not. Hair needs to be at least 1/4″ long or at least the length of a grain of rice for the wax to be able to pick hair up and remove it. That’s usually 2 weeks of growth since your last shave and 4 weeks since your last wax.

You can come in for a regularly priced wax and we’ll *try*. But you’ll likely leave with hair. We don’t tweeze anywhere on the body except for brows. We don’t offer discounts if the hair is too short to remove.
